Christy Smith is a Nashville-based financial advisor and civic leader with deep roots in community service across Middle Tennessee. She serves as Chair of the Hospital Authority of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County, the governing body of Nashville General Hospital, bringing a commitment to accessible, equitable healthcare for all Davidson County residents.

With a background in wealth management and a career spanning more than two decades, Christy has built her professional reputation on long-term relationships, strategic planning, and a client-first philosophy. She holds degrees in Biology and Agriculture from The University of Tennessee – Knoxville and Austin Peay State University, along with a Master's Degree in Biology.

Her civic engagement extends well beyond the Hospital Authority. Christy is an active board member of the Nashville Parks Foundation and The Nature Conservancy – Tennessee, and is an alumna of Leadership Nashville and the Young Leaders Council. She previously served as a commissioner of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority.

A longtime Nashville resident, Christy and her family live in the Belmont/12th South neighborhood — the same community NGH has served for generations.
