Extraordinary Nurse Recognized at Nashville General Hospital: Kristi Lamb, RN
A shining example of compassion and connection in the Emergency Department

Kristi Lamb, RN, has been described as a nurse who sees not just the patient, but the whole person—and the people who love them. Whether it’s comforting a patient grieving a sudden life change or sitting with a distraught family member in a hallway, Kristi shows up with empathy and warmth. One colleague wrote, “This level of caring is what nursing is all about.” Another patient, experiencing a painful kidney stone, recalled how Kristi brought both humor and care, creating a safe space during a frightening time. Her acts of kindness and connection are as impactful as her clinical skill.
