Extraordinary Nurse Recognized at Nashville General Hospital: Jamie Fisher, RN
Emergency care, delivered with heart

When a patient arrived at the ER struggling to breathe and overwhelmed by pain, Jamie Fisher, RN, acted quickly—but never forgot the power of kindness. “She was the calm during my storm,” the patient shared. Jamie explained each step of care with clarity, held the patient’s hand during IV placement, and stayed by their side through every phase of treatment. Her ability to provide both technical excellence and deeply personal support turned a traumatic visit into one of trust and healing. “She made me feel like family,” the patient wrote. “She’s the best nurse I’ve ever had.”
