The Dr. Robert E. Hardy Cancer Center provides quality care for patients with cancer/hematologic disorders and sickle cell disease. In 2021, Nashville General’s Cancer Center earned a 3-year Full Accreditation from the Commission on Cancer for its comprehensive, high-quality and multidisciplinary patient-centered care. The Cancer Center is staffed by multiple specially trained physicians who are board certified in Hematology and Oncology. Experienced nurses trained in cancer chemotherapy provide infusion and chemotherapy treatment under the supervision of an Oncology Certified Advance Practice Nurse. All patients receiving active treatment are followed closely for the duration of their therapy and after completion to gauge their response and whether they’ll require additional therapy.

Nashville General Hospital Earned 3 Year Full Accreditation by the Commission on Cancer
Nashville General Hospital is pleased to announce that it has again earned reaccreditation from The American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC). Accredited for 80 consecutive years, Nashville General Hospital is the second-oldest accredited cancer program in Nashville.
