Nashville General Hospital Issues RFP for Executive Search Firm to Lead CEO Recruitment

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 25, 2025 Nashville, Tenn. — Nashville General Hospital (NGH) today announced the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for an executive search firm to lead a national recruitment for the hospital’s next Chief Executive Officer. The RFP is now live and accessible via http://purchasing.nashville.gov. The solicitation number is RFQ396518.

“This is a pivotal moment for Nashville General,” said Mayor Freddie O’Connell., “We are looking for a leader who understands the responsibility and opportunity of running a safety net hospital—and who will serve all Nashvillians with compassion, innovation, and accountability.”

The selected search firm will work with the Hospital Authority’s CEO Search Committee to identify dynamic, equity-minded leaders with the vision to advance NGH’s mission and support Nashville’s growing and diverse population.

The RFP outlines a comprehensive scope of work, including stakeholder engagement, national outreach, equitable screening practices, and onboarding support. Evaluation criteria will include methodology and approach, experience and qualifications, and cost structure.
