Leslie J. Crofford, MD, is a Professor in the Division of Rheumatology and Immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she serves as the Wilson Family Chair in Medicine. Since 2014, she has been the Division Chief of Rheumatology and Immunology. A native of Nashville, Dr. Crofford graduated from Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Washington University’s Barnes Hospital and pursued research and clinical fellowships in Molecular Genetics and Rheumatology at the National Institutes of Health. Before returning to Vanderbilt, she held faculty positions at the University of Michigan and the University of Kentucky, contributing significantly to the fields of rheumatology and immunology.
