Mitsui USA Donates Car Seats to Nashville General Hospital’s Labor & Delivery Department
As part of Mitsui USA’s annual Global Volunteer Month in November, employees banded together to collect and donate car seats for new parents at Nashville General Hospital.

(Nashville, TN – January 3, 2025) – Welcoming a new baby is one of life’s most joyful moments, but for some families, the cost of essential items—like a car seat—can overshadow that joy. Ensuring every baby leaves the hospital safely is a top priority at Nashville General Hospital, and thanks to a generous donation from Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.), Inc. (Mitsui USA), that goal just became a little easier for families in need.
As part of Mitsui USA’s annual Global Volunteer Month in November, employees banded together to collect and donate car seats for new parents at Nashville General Hospital. This year, 36 employees contributed to the initiative, raising $500 and providing much-needed car seats and other essentials to ensure newborns can go home safely and comfortably.

The car seats, delivered just before Christmas, were a true team effort. Mitsui USA employees Bailey Veach, Jessica Redman, Zoe Teets, and Karen Bateman—along with one employee's spouse—helped coordinate and deliver the donation, embodying the spirit of giving during the holiday season.
For eight years, Mitsui USA has championed initiatives like this one, which became especially critical during the pandemic when many families faced overwhelming challenges. This year’s contributions reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to strengthening communities, addressing urgent needs, and empowering families during difficult times.
