Extraordinary Nurse Recognized at Nashville General Hospital: Justin Scott, MSN, RN

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Nashville General Hospital is proud to recognize Justin Scott, MSN, RN as a recipient of the DAISY Award, honoring his exceptional compassion and dedication to patient-centered care.

Justin was recognized for an act of kindness that made a meaningful difference for a patient in need. When the patient required help catching a bus after leaving the hospital, Justin took the initiative to find the route, assist the patient into a wheelchair, and accompany him to the bus stop. Despite the 90-degree heat, Justin waited until the bus arrived, ensuring the patient boarded safely and reached his destination.

This moment reflects Justin’s commitment to caring for the whole person — not just addressing clinical needs, but supporting dignity, safety, and well-being beyond the hospital walls. His actions embody the compassion, professionalism, and advocacy that define extraordinary nursing care.

Nashville General Hospital is grateful for nurses like Justin Scott, whose everyday actions leave a lasting impact on the patients and community they serve.
