Bio
Dr. Pooja Kurnala is a board-certified podiatric physician providing comprehensive foot and ankle care in Tennessee. She completed her residency training at Crozer Health, where she served as Chief Foot and Ankle Surgical Resident. She has also contributed to the Podiatry Institute Foot & Ankle Update Series.
Dr. Kurnala provides both routine and advanced podiatric care, with clinical interests in diabetic foot care, wound management, limb preservation, and prevention of lower extremity complications. She has experience managing foot infections, chronic wounds, ulcers, and other high-risk diabetic foot conditions, including performing wound debridement and toe or partial foot amputations when medically necessary.
In addition to diabetic foot care, Dr. Kurnala treats a wide range of common foot and ankle conditions, including heel pain, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, fungal nail infections, bunions, hammertoes, tendonitis, arthritis, fractures, and sports-related injuries.
She emphasizes prevention, early intervention, and patient education, working closely with patients to develop practical, personalized treatment plans that support mobility, comfort, and long-term foot health.
