Ashley Nickerson, MD

Bio

Dr. Ashley Nickerson is a Board-Certified non-invasive cardiologist specializing in advanced cardiac imaging. With fellowship training in cardiac CT and MRI, she holds COCATS Level 3 certification in both modalities and has a strong expertise in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.

Drawn to the cardiovascular field early in medical school, Dr. Nickerson found it both innovative and dynamic. Her passion was solidified during residency, where she was introduced to advanced cardiac imaging. She pursued further specialization as a cardiac fellow, leading to a career focused on cutting-edge diagnostic techniques.

A Maine native, Dr. Nickerson has successfully launched two cardiac MRI programs and expanded cardiac CT and structural imaging in regional medical centers. She also enjoys teaching and has served as co-program director for a general cardiology fellowship. Committed to patient care and program development.
