Jennifer A. Balog, MHA, CFRE, CAP

Jen is a healthcare professional with more than 15 years of experience in development and a 16-year career as a radiation therapist. Currently, she is the Chief Development Officer for Nashville General Hospital and the Executive Director of the Nashville General Hospital Foundation.
Jen has served in various organizations, such as the American Red Cross, the United Way, and the American Heart Association. Her leadership roles included serving as the Foundation Director at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton, New York, Iredell Health System in Statesville, North Carolina, and Assistant Vice President for Development at Upstate Medicine University in Syracuse, New York. She has spearheaded several multi-million-dollar campaigns and successful fundraising events.
Her career highlights include securing the first-ever seven-figure unrestricted gift for an organization, managing a two-million-dollar peer-to-peer fundraising event with more than 8,000 attendees, and cultivating over $500,000 in restricted donations for student scholarships.
Jen was named Class of 2016 Healthcare Professionals by the Genesis Group and Medical Societies. She earned an Associate degree in radiation therapy from Erie Community College in Buffalo, New York, a Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Utica College. Additionally, she holds certifications as a fundraising executive and a chartered advisor in philanthropy.
