We are dedicated to providing our patients with the most advanced technology, ensuring a more comfortable, efficient, and thorough breast cancer screening experience.

At Nashville General, we understand the importance of early detection in the fight against breast cancer. With the new 3D system, we can now identify potential concerns more quickly and with greater accuracy, offering our patients peace of mind and better outcomes. This state-of-the-art system is not only easy for our technologists to use, but it’s also designed with patient comfort in mind. Many patients have commented on the reduced discomfort during their mammograms, a significant improvement from traditional 2D imaging.

A More Comfortable Experience

One of our long-time patients, Marecha Jackson, shared her experience: “With the new machine, I didn’t even have to hold my breath. There wasn’t as much of that compressed feeling either, so it was definitely much more comfortable.”

This is just one example of how our patients are noticing a significant difference with the ASPIRE Cristalle. By offering a less intimidating and more comfortable exam, we hope to encourage more women to schedule regular mammograms, especially those who may have delayed screening due to fear of discomfort.

Precision for Early Detection

Our radiologists and physicists have also praised the 3D system’s superior image quality. This precision allows us to detect abnormalities earlier, even in patients with dense breast tissue. In fact, we recently identified a cancer that had not been visible in the previous year’s 2D mammogram. Thanks to the advanced imaging capabilities of the Cristalle 3D system, the patient received timely care and is now on the path to recovery.

Dami Tila-Veliz,

Serving Our Community with Compassion and Care

At Nashville General, we are committed to providing equitable healthcare for all. We serve a diverse patient base, including many who are considered high-risk for breast cancer. For patients like Dami Tila-Veliz, whose family history puts her at higher risk, the new technology is a game changer: “I am a high-risk patient for breast cancer. Two of my sisters have had breast cancer, and I also have the same gene. With this new machine, they can clearly see what's going on, and I don’t have to have additional screenings every few months like before.”

Our goal is to provide compassionate, patient-centered care that makes a real difference in people’s lives. We know that the first step to protecting your health is prevention, and our new mammography system empowers us to offer the best possible care.
