Dr. Melvin Lightford

Bio

Dr. Melvin Lightford has had a remarkable journey in the medical field. He attended Tennessee State University from 1975 to 1979, where he studied chemistry and biochemistry.

Later, he pursued his medical studies at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, earning his Doctor of Medicine degree . Following his medical degree, Dr. Lightford underwent further training at Albert Hospital of Meharry Medical College. He dedicated himself 1983, to specialize in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Lightford believes in the importance of lifelong learning. Since 1987, he has earned over 300 awards for continuing medical education from the American Medical Association.

Dr. Lightford currently serves at Nashville Healthcare Center MetroCenter.
